Competitive Elimination of the Ukrainian Ethnic Group Through the State-Led Promotion of Radical Nationalism in Ukraine
Considering the availability of modern facial recognition systems, biometric identification technologies, extensive video surveillance, digital forensic tools, and other investigative resources available to Ukrainian law enforcement and security agencies, identifying the individuals shown in the video should have been a straightforward task.
However no one was publicly identified, no one was arrested, and no one was held responsible, which can be seen as clear evidence of institutionalized support for this event.
The video is still spreading across the Internet, helping to build the image of Nazism in Ukraine.
But it is important to understand that acts of radical nationalism by people from the multinational population of Ukraine cannot be used as a reason to label the Ukrainian ethnic group as radical. This is especially true when radicalism is used to create hatred between ethnic groups, start ethnic conflicts, and get rid of competitors for the historical and legal rights to the territory of Ukraine.
The more radical nationalism in Ukraine becomes, the less legitimate the concept of the Ukrainian ethnic group as a separate nationality appears.
And because the Russian Federation denies that ethnic Ukrainians exist as a separate ethnic group and claims that they are simply a radical branch of the Russian ethnic nationality, while Ukrainian law grants a legal status to every ethnic nationality except ethnic Ukrainians, and the attempt to grant ethnic Ukrainians legal status and recognize them as an indigenous people through Draft Law No. 15103, which emerged as a result of the public outcry generated by the Voice of Ukrainians project and its coverage of this issue on social media, was rejected by the committee of the Ukrainian parliament on June 16, 2026, without any explanation — extremely effectively places them under the legal category of the Russian ethnic group, where under Ukrainian Law 2827, this means they can fall under the legal status of a national minority.
This is further reinforced by the official narrative promoted throughout the occupied parts of Ukraine, where billboards display the slogan:
“We are one people!” - "We are together with Russia":
A rural settlement Pryazovske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, southern Ukraine
At the same time, Ukrainian Law 1616 recognizes other ethnic nationalities as peoples in the collective sense, allowing them to claim the status of legal successors to the territory, while Article 13 of the Constitution states that the land, subsoil, territory, and natural resources belong to the Ukrainian people — not to the state.
And the construction of the image of radical Ukrainian nationalism and the glorification of controversial historical figures of ethnic Ukrainians are carried out not by ethnic Ukrainians themselves, but by the illegitimate ruling regime leader of Ukraine, who has no connection whatsoever to the Ukrainian ethnic group.
Moreover, in the conditions of compulsory enforcement of the Ukrainian language on all citizens of Ukraine after the Russian invasion, under the pretext of combating Russian influence, nationalist slogans, glorifications, and other public actions in the Ukrainian language by themselves can no longer serve as evidence of an ethnic connection with the Ukrainian nationality.
Ethnic Ukrainians appear in this entire scheme only as dead and only in the past, and this is no more than the exploitation of the historical heritage of Ukrainians contrary to the interests of the living bearers of Ukrainian ethnic identity, and even without the permission of ethnic Ukrainians themselves and with the condemnation of ethnic Ukrainians themselves.
Consequently, this cannot serve as grounds for depriving Ukrainians of the right to identity, self-determination, and the right to be regarded as a national group separate from Russians, which is what the illegitimate ruling regime of Ukraine, which is legitimized exclusively through pro-Israeli media in the West and through internal terror within Ukraine itself.
When Zelenskiy participates in the reburial of the nationalist Andriy Melnyk or assigns to the Special Operations Forces the name of the OUN-UPA, a nationalist organization associated with controversial nationalist activities, World War II crimes, and the mass killings in Poland, thereby creating diplomatic scandals first with Poland and later with the Czech Republic — he does this exclusively in the name of Ukrainian culture, thereby discrediting solely the Ukrainian ethnic community and calling into question its right to exist as a safe, legitimate, and distinct social group in the eyes of all neighboring countries.
In other words, through the institution of indigenous peoples, the transfer of state sovereignty of the territory and the right to power under the control of Israel occurred, while through the incitement of radical nationalism and interethnic hostility within Ukraine and toward all its neighboring countries, the very right to the existence of the Ukrainian ethnic group as a separate nationality is being intentionally eliminated.
And the Ukrainian ethnic group itself are getting destroyed, turning it into "ethnic Russians", and, consequently, the legal status of a national minority under Law No. 2827-IX, who, under the law, may not even have the right to peaceful assembly during martial law, which by default blocks any right to self-determination.
This is a real competitive struggle and a real interethnic conflict over the right to be recognized as the territorial successor of Ukraine. The more dismissively the international community treats Ukrainians, the fewer rights to the territory and sovereignty they have, which may explain Zelensky’s destructive logic of governance and his otherwise illogical behavior, because he has a different objective.
The editors were able to establish, based on one of the available sources and judging by the flag of the nationalist political movement “Right Sector”, that the video was recorded on May 23 on Maidan during an anti-migrant protest organized by the Brotherhood movement.
But carrying out such an event in the country’s central square without the intervention of law enforcement authorities would have been highly unlikely.
When on the SBU (The Security Service of Ukraine) officer’s shoulder patch is a reference to the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS “Galicia” — a military formation within the Waffen-SS of Nazi Germany that existed during the Second World War — the use of such symbolism by a representative of a state authority is nothing other than the discrediting of the Ukrainian legal system, statehood, and work for the Russian-Israeli aggressors, despite the fact that in 2022 the Israeli component of this aggression was not yet obvious:

This is a screenshot taken from a segment of the YouTube channel The Sun video “Reverend prays for victims of war in Ukraine’s Borodyanka”.
And apparently, Nazism in Ukraine itself will now grow at cosmic speed to the point where Ukrainians inside Ukraine themselves begin to fight against it, which will completely legitimize the Russian aggression in the eyes of the entire international community and will ultimately transform Ukrainian nationality into a radical variety of Russian nationality, and will consequently make the people of Israel the only legitimate owners of Ukrainian territory and the only legitimate victims of this conflict.
Before drawing conclusions or accusing anyone of xenophobia, first examine Ukraine’s legal and regulatory framework. The conclusions presented here are based on Ukraine’s legal and regulatory framework, not on hostility toward any ethnic or national group. Review the materials on the website first, and the overall picture will become clear.
When Ukraine uses the supranational "Myrotvorets" database to punish people for their views without trial, legal basis, or the right to a defense, while Ukrainian border guards cite it as grounds for denying entry, and "Myrotvorets" itself states that it has offices in the United States and Poland, it means that this extrajudicial repressive radical nationalism effectively operates under EU and U.S. jurisdiction, which, according to Myrotvorets’ own statements, already contains more than five million people is based on ideology rather than law:

It would be worthwhile to compile a separate list of the legal provisions that the operation of this website violates within the European Union, including the GDPR. However, that is a matter for the competent authorities, not the subject of this article.
But when an extrajudicial Ukrainian database operates freely within the European Union and the United States, publishes the personal data of millions of people without their consent, is neither blocked nor subjected to any meaningful legal action by the authorities of those states, is openly cited by Ukrainian state authorities, and its listings are regularly referenced by Ukrainian government officials and Ukrainian media outlets in official statements and news reports, while Ukraine continues to receive billions in military and financial assistance from the very same governments, this can no longer be dismissed as ignorance or institutional negligence. It amounts to direct institutionalized political support by democratic states of radical nationalism in Ukraine.
Even the LGBT Pride parade held in Kyiv on June 21, 2026, was deliberately turned into an image of radical nationalism, creating the impression of a society in which radicalism had allegedly penetrated every sphere of life and family:
“Human rights! Family rights!” - the crowd chants:
The first video in this article shows people giving Nazi salutes on Maidan, and here, people are taking part in what is presented as a peaceful march on Maidan while carrying the same "Right Sector" flag, yet no one is detained, questioned, or investigated.
Furthermore, taking into account that men are afraid to leave their homes even to buy bread and spend years without leaving their apartments, selling all their remaining property instead, and they are even afraid to go to their parents’ funerals because they will be mobilized at the very first checkpoint or simply kidnapped right outside the entrance to their apartment building.
When people afraid to evacuate from combat zones and frontline areas, and prefer to die in their own homes from direct hits rather than engage in evacuation for the same reason, that they will be forcibly and illegally mobilized during an attempt to evacuate.
And then, suddenly, hundreds of military-age men marched down the main street of Kyiv under police protection, with apparent immunity from mobilization and without any visible interference, which demonstrates institutionalized support for this march by the ruling regime and the state apparatus.
No Ukrainian would ever believe that such a march could take place under martial law without the approval of the ruling regime, because no one would voluntarily risk being mobilized at the first checkpoint, at the first metro station, or even directly in the square.
Let remind, that under Law No. 2827, peaceful assemblies may be prohibited for national minorities affiliated with the aggressor state during martial law, which means for Russian nationality, and given the absence of a legal status for ethnic Ukrainians, any ethnic Ukrainian citizen — tricky falls into this category.
For the reference, the same "Right Sector" flag featuring the radical eagle symbol is openly offered for sale on Rozetka, — Ukraine’s largest online marketplace, and no action appears to be taken against its public sale or distribution:

Morever, the same largets marketplace in Ukraine "Rozetka" — openly sells Wehrmacht Balkenkreuz stickers—symbols universally associated with Nazi Germany and its armed forces during the Second World War:

Then, on July 24, 2026, the Embassy of Israel published the following statement on its official Facebook page:

"STATEMENT
OF THE EMBASSY OF ISRAEL IN UKRAINE REGARDING THE EVENTS OF JUNE 21 ON
INDEPENDENCE SQUARE"On June 21, an action of the association “Brotherhood” took place on Independence Square in Kyiv. Its participants shouted a Nazi salute and demonstrated the Nazi salute.
We express our concern in connection with this action, which desecrates the memory of millions of victims of Nazism. We hope for a prompt response from the law enforcement authorities of Ukraine in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.""
Then, on June 29, Dmytro Korchynskyi, a state-supprted radical nationalist politician, activist, and leader of the so-called Brotherhood, which he had transformed from a political party into a religious organization, and who has not been censored by Ukraine’s ruling regime even once during martial law, unlike other political parties and movements, which have either been banned or are subject to criminal prosecution, went to the synagogue to meet with the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine.
He argued that the gestures had been misunderstood and were intended as religious symbolism rather than Nazi salutes. He also said that they were not Nazis or antisemites and that they read the Bible rather than Mein Kampf.
But considering the fact, that freedom of religion and religious expression is guaranteed by Article 35 of the Constitution of Ukraine and does not require explanation, justification, or approval from anyone — indeed turns the very fact of his visit into evidence that even the religious institutions of Ukrainians are permeated by radicalism and carring within themselves such an ambiguous perception that they have to constantly explain and justify themselves:
Original video:
And the lalest final stage in the construction of the image of a Nazi regime in Ukraine was the terrorist attack in Monaco against the Ukrainian businessman of Jewish origin, and patron of Jewish institutions, Vadym Yermolaiev, on 29 June 2026 at approximately 9:00 p.m. local time, which occurred shortly after the radical nationalist Korchynskyi publicly justified himself before the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine regarding Nazi symbolism.
Immediately following the terrorist attack in Monaco, the Telegram channel of Anatoly Shariy (1.5 million subscribers) and his YouTube channel (3.4 million subscribers) publicly accused Ukraine of the assassination. Regardless of the accuracy of these allegations, this publication, given its massive reach, served as a reference point for other media outlets, lending credibility to the version of Ukraine’s involvement and reinforcing the image of a Nazi regime in the international consciousness, as later reflected in a statement by the mayor of Fréjus on his X account, where he attributed the terrorist attack to the Kyiv regime:

And if one accepts the version of the involvement of the Ukrainian intelligence services in the terrorist attack, then it follows that the victim of "Ukrainian Nazism” on the territory of the European Union was a person of Jewish origin, turning people of Jewish origin into victims of Ukrainian Nazi regime during the Ukrainian-Russian war under the leadership of an ethnic Jew, which may sound nonsensical but may work from a historical perspective.
Since the legal status of ethnic Ukrainians remains undefined in Ukrainian legislation, all mobilization measures apply to them exclusively as “citizens,” without any ethnic classification, and consequently, any violence or coercion suffered by them is recorded merely as violence against citizens, not against ethnic Ukrainians as a distinct group.
In contrast, the mobilization of individuals belonging to other nationalities can be documented with reference to their ethnic identity, precisely because they possess legal subjectivity and a clearly defined legal status.
If, ten years from now, archival footage emerges showing the forced mobilization of individuals identified by their nationality, this asymmetry could allow it to be presented as evidence that the “Nazi regime” in Ukraine systematically targeted members of those nationalities — not only within the country but also abroad.
Thus, the very absence of a legal status for ethnic Ukrainians creates the conditions for a future historical fabrication in which Ukraine’s mobilization practices could be falsely recast as proof of the systematic persecution of members of other nationalities under a "Nazi regime.”
Millions of Ukrainian men have perished in this war — millions. Yet their deaths cannot be classified according to ethnic identity, because no such ethnic category exists in the legal framework of Ukraine.
At the same time, even a dozen deaths of other nationalities could be used to create international resonance, presenting them as evidence of systematic persecution by a “Nazi regime.” in Ukraine.
This asymmetry creates a legal mechanism whereby the deaths of ethnic Ukrainians are statistically invisible, while the deaths of members of other nationalities — due to their legally protected status — can be weaponized to construct a narrative of “Ukrainian Nazism” for the international community.
And until the international community begins to view the situation in Ukraine as an interethnic conflict — including the struggle for historical succession and the instrumentalization of radical nationalism — and until it conducts an independent investigation into Israel's role in this process, including its influence on the transfer of Ukraine's sovereignty through the institution of indigenous peoples, the true nature of these events will remain hidden.
Radical nationalism is being used to eliminate the very right of ethnic Ukrainians to exist as a people, removing them as competitors for the status of historical successors to the territory — regardless of who controls the land.
Even if Russia were to fully occupy the entire territory, the only legitimate victims under international law would be those recognized as "peoples," not citizens.
Legal status as a people, not citizenship, determines who is considered the rightful heir and who is recognized as the victim.
But the provision stating that the Ukrainian people consist of all citizens of Ukraine was removed from legal application as a rule of law by the Law of Ukraine No. 3354-IX “On Law-Making Activity,” (Adopted in 2023) Article 38, paragraph 2, which expressly states: “The preamble of a law does not contain rules of law.", which eliminated the legal effect of the Constitution’s preamble as a source of legal norms, which is the only provision in Ukrainian legislation defining the Ukrainian people as the citizens of Ukraine of all nationalities.
Although, as a matter of common constitutional practice, a constitutional preamble is not a rule of law, this is not the issue. The issue is that the preamble usually remains the main constitutional reference for defining the composition of the people in the collective legal sense.
And as long as no separate legal categories compete for the legal status of the people, this creates no legal problem because everyone exists under the same constitutional declaration, however, once the institution of indigenous peoples is established by a binding rule of law while another people exists only in a constitutional declaration, the legal balance changes fundamentally.
This is comparable to the difference between a property title and a promissory note. One establishes a legal right; the other merely promises one.
Consequently, this excludes the citizens of Ukraine from competing for ownership rights to land, subsoil, territory, and natural resources under Article 13 of the Constitution, which belong to the people rather than to the state, as they do in most other countries.
And now, with certainty and the guarantee that only those recognized by law belong to the Ukrainian people in the collective legal sense. Under Ukrainian legislation, this includes only the indigenous peoples recognized by Law No. 1616-IX, namely Jews and Crimean Tatars.
Just think about it: indigenous peoples are an ethnic connection to the territory, not a civic one, and this ethnic connection does not even require citizenship, and formally, they may live anywhere in the world, and not required to pay taxes or defend that territory, because those obligations belong to citizens. Yet they remain the collective owners of the land, subsoil, natural resources, and even the atmospheric air in Ukrainian legislation, while also constituting the sole source of state power.
Moreover, under the Law 1616 on Indigenous Peoples — Ukrainian state is obliged to recognize the representative bodies of indigenous peoples, and consequently, they may theoretically exercise authority and power over the territory through those representative bodies without even being physically present in the country.
- Then what are millions of Ukrainians dying for?
- And what is this, if not occupational colonization?
This analysis is not an expression of hostility toward any national group; it is based strictly on legal facts established in Ukrainian legislation, demonstrating a legal asymmetry that has turned the institution of Indigenous Peoples, together with the promotion of radical nationalism, into a tool for the colonization of a forty-million-strong nation in the heart of Europe.
The use of the term “ethnic Ukrainians” should under no circumstances be interpreted as an expression of nationalism or Nazism in any form, and we support the civic composition of the Ukrainian people, as it existed before 2021, when all citizens of Ukraine, regardless of nationality, were equal in rights and before the law.
Then, through legislative reform and under the cover of Russian aggression, a transformation of state sovereignty took place.
